Tenderloin PArklet

Inspired by participation in a PARK(ing) Day, our team led a group of residents of San Francisco’s Tenderloin—San Francisco’s densest neighborhood—in a partnership with farm:table cafe and a team of local architects- a transform a row of barren asphalt parking spaces into uniquely-designed public community gathering space and green oasis open to everyone. Funding was crowd-sourced and the project was implemented as one of the first pilot projects in San Francisco, to serve as an exemplary case-study for the City’s then-new "Pavement-to-Parks" program.
